Ben Britton - Co-Founder, Lead Engineer

I am fascinated by the way the individual components of machines work together to solve a problem. I believe in organization over force and that any machine is only as good as its weakest part. Integrity is important to me and I engineered every aspect of the Pikes Peak Rosin Press with the customers needs in mind. After graduating from CU Boulder with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, I worked for a large corporation as the lead engineer doing product development and machine design. Although this experience was a valuable step towards where I am now, the corporate life was not for me so I decided to go into machine design consulting. When my friend Josh Rutherford came to me with the idea for a Rosin Press I saw a product that had enormous potential for improvement in a continuously growing industry. A few months later we had a prototype that blew the competition out of the water.  We kept tweaking and improving features until the Pikes Peak Rosin Press was born.  I am really excited to be forging the way with PurePressure. Rosin is a product that is true to its source and is only growing in popularity.

When I am not at PurePressure, I can be found in the mountains in my massive van that I converted to 4WD for off road adventures and has proven a great second home for powder filled winters. I also like fish and the bugs that catch them. I look forward to leading this new industry with unrivaled innovation and unmatched quality.

Josh Rutherford - Co-Founder, Industry Specialist

I am one of the co-founders of PurePressure and after originally attending the University of Arizona I transferred to CU Boulder in 2011 as the cannabis industry was really getting started in Colorado. Cannabis has always been a passion of mine and central to my life for many years. I have extensive experience growing cannabis as a master grower in commercial-scale gardens before offering my expertise consulting for growers and extractors. When the rosin revolution was in its infancy, I knew rosin was the extraction method of the future. In an attempt to get started, I spent an insane amount on rosin presses made both in the USA and from China. What I got in return was poor customer service and even worse rosin presses.
After all of this headache and wasted capital I decided to talk with a trusted friend, Ben Britton, to solve this problem with me. I knew with my cannabis knowledge and extraction experience and Ben's engineering know-how, we would make an unstoppable team bringing the best products and technology to the rosin market. The entire PurePressure team believes that providing excellent customer service and amazing products is the backbone of our success. In addition to being a founder at PurePressure, I also am the co-owner of Kush Masters, which is a licensed extraction facility in Boulder that produces top-tier concentrates and edibles. My hobbies include snowboarding, paintball, watching Denver Nuggets games, and chillin’ on the couch with friends enjoying quality erlls.

Eric Vlosky - Director of Marketing

I've always believed that genuine integrity and top quality products are what the best brands in the world are made of, which is why I joined PurePressure. My passion for cannabis combined with the drive to work in a rapid-pace startup environment came together perfectly with my role here. In heading up our creative marketing and sales operations efforts, I'm excited to help PurePressure grow quickly. After graduating from CU Boulder's nationally recognized Strategic Advertising program in 2012, I've had the fortune to work both in an agency setting and with two successful tech startups. I'm excited to be part of a team that is revolutionizing rosin technology by making industry-leading products that produce some of the highest quality solventless concentrates available. In my free time I'm mostly dreaming about snowboarding, paintball, or backpacking.

Kyle Manuel - Industrial Designer

Inspiration is for amateurs because ideas are a dime-a-dozen. Vision, persistence and dedication are fundamental to successful innovative solutions. This is how Pure Pressure stands out from the competition, and also why product design and development have fueled my passion since college. I received my Bachelor in Industrial Design from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. I started my design career in NYC working for design consultancies developing consumer electronics, medical devices, home appliances & even package design. My desire to rock climb and be outdoors brought me to Colorado where my design career was forced to evolve because of the industry. A blessing in disguise, Denver’s manufacturing and production driven market has accelerated my career experiences to help refine my mechanical engineering and utilitarian design abilities. Ben Britton and I have a long standing professional engineering relationship. Ben started grooming me to come on with PurePressure since the conception of the Pikes Press. As a member of the Pure Pressure team my number one goal is to continue to provide an unparalleled product line that meets all our customers’ processing needs.

Dino Chatham - Lead Manufacturer

I've been working in manufacturing for as long as I can remember and when Ben asked me to come over to PurePressure, I was excited to work in this new industry. Ben and I worked together for a large corporate manufacturing company and I climbed my way up the ladder after starting as a temp worker and becoming a shop foreman for over 10 years. I'm passionate about machining and assembly of the Pikes Peak rosin presses, from the electrical components to everything mechanical. I love golf, golf, and more golf. I'm also a die hard Broncos fan for life and enjoy spending as much time as I can with my family.

Scott Christensen – Operations Manager

I believe in a customer first philosophy and with that if you take care of your people they will go to great lengths to take care of our customers. I completed my Bachelors and Master’s Degrees in Human Resource Management and spent 16 years working for a large corporation in several different capacities and locations. My most recent project relocated me from Nebraska to Aurora, CO to turn around a formerly profitable facility whose sales had declined nearly 60% and losing several millions annually. We had five years to return sales back to pre-decline levels and breakeven. The team did it in four and with $2m less in sales than we thought we’d need. We were rewarded with the closure of our facility
and all the equipment moved to SC. At that point I needed a change. With my background in HR, quality, project management, production operations and LEAN manufacturing I was looking to start my own business or purchase an existing one, but hadn’t quite found the right opportunity. I had stayed close to Ben and his new start up, Pure Pressure, since before its inception and was always very intrigued by the businesses potential. So when I found myself between jobs Ben and Josh just happen to be in a position of growth with a new facility and new equipment launches in the works, I took the bait to perform some contract work. Shortly after my start I was fortunate enough to come on full time and join a team that consisted of four of my former colleagues, and I couldn’t be happier.

Holly Coddington - Sales Associate

I have a background in education and content writing which lends itself well to learning everything there is to know about rosin and its concentrate competition. I thrive off new experiences and am happiest in fast paced environments. The cannabis industry is a new and exciting space and it is fun to work for a company at the forefront. When I am not at PurePressure I'm in the mountains backcountry skiing, hiking, or camping with my dog Charlie.

Brady Oldham - Sales Associate

I am a rising senior at Metropolitan State University of Denver where I am studying Economics. After a Finance internship earlier in 2016 I knew that I wanted to do something much more engaging and exciting than working in back office finance roles. After I saw the pace and ferocity that the cannabis industry is expanding along with PurePressure as a company I knew immediately that this was something worth putting major effort into. In my spare time I manage and play on a semi-professional paintball team and try to get to as many Av's games as I can.
